Ten photographs taken at an abandoned trout farm in Marmagne, a forest in Burgundy, France. Embroidered on the photographs, printed on fabric, are ten hypothetical stages of continental drift. This is a place where human intervention (walls and dams, the abandoned house) has been reabsorbed by plant life.
The work conveys a sense of chaotic overlap of different times: the short span of man and plants, the vast span of geological eras, the movements of the earth’s crust, the endless cycle of water.
