In 2005 the Whale went to Ecuador to be shown in two very different places: at Guayaquil, on the coast, and in Quito, the capital in the Andes. But the purpose of the project also lies in the capacity to create situations of participation: a series of contacts were made with native communities, thanks to the help of different people in Italy and Ecuador. In different phases nearly 1000 whales were made in wool fabric, by about thirty women.
